Our tips

Place au grand temps fort de la journée, le Prix Gaston de Bataille, Grand Cross de Pau avec un magnifique duel qui s’annonce entre le double tenant du titre Hip Hop Conti et le vainqueur de cette épreuve en 2022, Saint Godefroy, qui vient de battre notre favori dans la dernière préparatoire. Le premier ne pourra pas avoir Clément Lefebvre sur son dos mais retrouve son rival à poids égal, le second aura pour lui la monte de Félix de Giles. Il n’y a donc pas grand-chose entre ces deux-là mais le pensionnaire d’Emmanuel Clayeux a peut-être un brin de classe en plus, il sera notre favori.
Derrière ce duo qui se détache assez nettement, citons en priorité Solingen, qui arrive avec de la fraicheur sur cet objectif. Suivant tous les trains et idéalement placée au poids, elle pourrait compléter le podium, à la lutte avec Isagirl, dont on connait les limites mais la pensionnaire de Jérôme Delaunay réalise un superbe meeting et se montre très fiable, cela serait trop risqué de ne pas la retenir. Plus revu depuis sa quatrième place dans le Prix Hubert de Navailles en tout début de meeting, Riskman n’a peut-être pas eu la meilleure préparation mais aura l’atout fraicheur et possède des lignes solides, ayant battu par deux fois Solingen l’hiver dernier, méfiance. Quant à Illico, il a la qualité intrinsèque pour s’immiscer dans la lutte pour le podium mais il reste très peu fiable dans ses sauts.
