Bien qualifié au mois de novembre 2024, Medellin Ellis a rejoint les boxes de Pierre-Yves Verva, pour le compte de l'Ecurie du Damier, et tentera de s'illustrer d'entrée de jeu. En progrès, le bien né Merginio vient de faire bonne impression à Saint-Omer et va tenter de profiter de son embryon d'expérience pour damer le pion aux néophytes. Morris de Reux, qui a obtenu son billet pour la compétition de belle manière, sur cette piste, et Match Point, présenté par Franck Ouvrie, seront ensuite préférés au perfectible Mirador, ou encore Makao de la Besvre, second représentant de la casaque à damiers blanc et vert.
